Hey everyone, hope you had a great holiday season and aren't regretting your food and drink choices too much. I'm in counciling with my liver and with some effort I'm sure we can work through our differences and get back together, so far it's still not talking to me. You may have seen that while I've not written much I have posted
quite a few photos over the last few weeks. We had a great Christmas with the Andrews and then spent Boxing Day at Bobby-Marie (Jo's cousin) and Warren's place. The kids beat the adults at Disney themed Trivial Pursuit, I reckon we should have grounded them for that. We called mum and dad our Xmas day and they had heaps of hail, not fair, you guys get a white Xmas and we don't [sigh].

I worked through the next week, although to be fair it was a pretty mellow week tidying up our deployment. We spent New Years Eve at the Andrews (noticing a pattern?) and had a great time with Laura, Garry, Andrea, Dave, Lori and Bruce. I'm reliably informed that at one point some of the boys ended up without their shorts in the spa, no idea how it happened, probably some sort of bizzare spa pump incident. Anyway Jo insisted that I post the evidence online, and for that I'm truely sorry, don't blame me if you get mentally scarred.
The Friday before NYE Colin invited me out to an NBA basketball game and we saw the Toronto Raptors go down to the Chicago Bulls in Platinum class seats. It was pretty awesome, I haven't got the pictures uploaded yet, I'll post a few later tonight. Major thanks to Colin who also shouted dinner and many of the drinks as we kicked on fairly late into the night.
The kids are still off school, they get two weeks around Xmas/NY, and luckily the weather here has been incredibily mild. The day-camp that Cam went to over summer had a free skate session yesterday so they all went down for a spin and Cam collected a huge ball of shaved ice off the rink. It's in the freezer at home and is the only snow ball we've seen this winter. This week has not gone below zero and the next few days are threatening to break double digit temps. So far only 1mm of snow that lasted a few hours, bit of a pisser really. Oh well I've saved money by not hiring the guy to do my driveway this year, he must be laughing all the way to the bank though, plenty of locals were assuming a harsh winter, so far though no dice. Oh well, it's not a total loss, hopefully we'll have blue skies and no wind over the weekend so Cam and I can launch our (his) model rocket.
Andy, out.
